Various gingerbread patterns are chosen and decorated to match the event. There is space in each one where a candle is placed to illuminate the design. (No live flame is used). Each luminary is lighted in a different manner. Some lights are white, some clear, some colored, and some flicker. The lights come in various sizes and shapes.
