Give the look of added dimension to your cake with the use of shadow stenciling and brushed embroidery as seen on a 2008 OSSAS award winning cake, "Love Letters", by Amelia Carbine. Students will use a stencil and dry color powder to brush onto the surface of fondant to create a shadow look. Then they will pipe with royal icing and use a brush embroidery technique over the shadowing to create dimension.
