First Timers
The entire ICES 2010, show committee extends a special welcome to first-timers. We are honored that you chose San Diego as your first ICES Convention and Show.
We are confident that in addition to all the wonderful opportunities for sharing and learning at the Convention, San Diego will also leave a lasting impression.
Here are some tips on what you should bring to assure you have a great time Hangin' 10 in 2010 with us. |
|
| 1. | A notebook and pen for taking notes at the demos/classes/meetings. |
| 2. | A camera to capture the great cakes in the Cake Shack, and final products of the demos and classes. |
| 3. | .A light jacket or sweater since the demo and class rooms can get overly chilly when sitting there for an hour in the air conditioning. |
| 4. | A cake for the Cake Shack is always wonderful. After all, someone has to bring them, why not you? Go ahead show’em what you can do! |
| 5. | A fold-up rolling shopping bag is nice to have for the vendors area so that you have somewhere to stow your purchases in without running back to your room often. |
| 6. | An extra large suitcase or box to take your purchases home with you if you are flying |
| 7. | A shopping list for the Vendor Hall to avoid duplicating supplies you already have at home |
| 8. | More money than you planned on. Although most vendors take credit cards, some do not. Also some vendors originate in foreign countries and process their credit cards when they return home, which can add an extra 1-3% in foreign transaction fees to your purchase. There are ATMs in the convention hotel. |
| 9. | Comfortable shoes for trekking around the convention venue. You’d be surprised at the mileage you will rack up just moving from area to area. |
| 10. | Something nice to wear for the banquet dinner. Typically the banquet is formal to semi-formal in dress and a chance for us all to dress up for a night out. |
| 11. | Your swimsuit, golf clubs, and other items of entertainment that will enhance your trip. |
