Temecula Wine Country Excursion
Wednesday, August 11, 2010

9 am - Depart Town and Country Resort
The group will drive along a narrated tour to three stops:
Old Town Temecula; Wiens Family Cellars; and Wilson Creek Winery.

Upon arrival in Old Town Temecula, guests will receive area information
and then are on their own to explore tasting rooms, curio shops, and
specialty food purveyors including the Temecula Valley Cheese
Company
, Temecula Olive Oil Company, and Old Town Spice Merchants, many located in historic buildings along the rustic streets.

Following a scenic route passing equestrian ranches, vineyards, citrus
orchards, and stately mansions entering wine country, Wiens Family Cellars is the next stop for tasting and a picnic lunch. A behind the
scenes production tour will be offered during this visit.

Wilson Creek Winery is the final destination for the entire group as an
entertaining presentation and wine tasting is often hosted by a dynamic Wilson family member. Perhaps Temecula’s most popular winery, the signature item, Almond Champagne, may be the talk of the visit, as well as a heavily purchased product.

3:15 pm - Depart Temecula Wine Country and return to Town and
Country Resort in San Diego

The price of $90 includes round trip transportation, guide service, area
information, private tasting at one winery, tour, tasting, and lunch at a second winery, logo souvenir wine glass, all taxes and gratuities. Also, the wineries typically offer discounts on wine purchases to tour participants.

Please note the itinerary has been planned for ICES attendees and guests. In the event we do not meet a minimum number of participants the above wineries are subject to change.
